​​2026 Honda Accord Named “Best Family Sedan” by Good Housekeeping​

Remember the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval? It was the magazine’s way of guiding consumers to items that met its highest standard for any produce used daily around the home. It still exists today. Over the years, the Good Housekeeping Institute added more items to receive its “seal of approval.”

That includes automobiles. In 2017, the institute began selecting vehicles for its Good Housekeeping Best Family Car Awards. Winners of these categorized awards were tested by “auto experts and real parents.” The Good Housekeeping Institute collects data from its partners at Car and Driver, along with feedback from families, to determine which vehicles are chosen for its annual list. The testers and families spend months driving vehicles in real-world conditions. They look for how they rank in terms of “safety, comfort, cargo space, innovation, and more while navigating city streets, rural roads, highways, and everything in between.” Ultimately, Good Housekeeping Best Family Car Award winners were chosen based on these criteria to determine whether they met the needs of a family.
