Performance

The 2026 HR-V is powered by a 158-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 138 pound-feet of torque. You can choose either front-wheel drive or a Real-Time AWD with the Intelligent Control System. A Continuously Variable Transmission is also standard on all models.

They are also efficient. Front-wheel-drive models can achieve an EPA-rated fuel economy of 26 City / 32 Highway / 28 Combined.* All-wheel drive models can also return 25 City / 30 Highway / 27 Combined.*

The 2026 HR-V also comes with Hill Descent Control and Active Noise Cancelling. The four-wheel independent suspension features a McPherson strut setup front and a multilink setup in the rear. A Dual Pinion Assist Electric Power Steering system is also equipped with four-disc brakes and a standard anti-lock system.

Exterior

The 2026 HR-V boasts a very friendly look. The front fascia features a pair of LED headlamp units, complemented by a well-proportioned grille. The sloping roofline gives it a sporty style, with the liftgate opening wide and down to the bumper for better loading and unloading of luggage and shopping.

The LX model rides on a set of 17-inch alloy wheels. Upgrading to the Sport and EX-L models will increase the wheel size to 18 inches. Both models have their own distinct style, with the Sport wheels finished in a gloss black finish, while the EX-L ones are machine finished with black Berlina inserts.

For an extra layer of security, Sport and EX-L models add Smart Entry with Walk Away Auto Lock. For those cold days, the same two trims are equipped with a Remote Engine Start from your key fob.

Interior

Stepping inside the HR-V is a cabin that is functional and comfortable. For the driver, they have large dials and easy-to-access information on the center screen. All controls are tactile and accessible to the driver.

Seating accommodates up to five people in a spacious passenger area. You have plenty of room to stretch out. LX and Sport models offer the driver a manual seat adjustment, including height. EX-L models add an eight-way power driver seat adjustment, trimmed in leather. Sport and EX-L also have heated seats, as well. The rear seatbacks on all models can be folded down in a 60/40 split.

The 2026 HR-V models are equipped with an automatic climate control system. Upgrading to the EX-L, it becomes a two-zone automatic climate control system made for individual comfort.

To load up the back of the 2026 HR-V, there is up to 24.4 cubic feet of space behind the second row of seats. Fold both the second-row seats down, and cargo space expands to 55.1 cubic feet.

Technology

On top of the center stack is a nine-inch color touchscreen. This serves as a hub for all connectivity, broadcast playback, and navigation. Wireless smartphone compatibility through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with wireless device charging, are standard on all models. The LX offers four speakers, while the Sport model receives a six-speaker audio system. The EX-L model envelops you with an eight-speaker sound system, providing a great soundtrack for your road trips.

Also, every 2026 HR-V model is equipped with a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. This appears on the touchscreen to help guide you in backing up your vehicle.

Safety

Standard on all 2026 HR-V models is a suite of features that are a part of Honda Sensing Technologies. Depending on the trim level you choose, these features include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, Forward Collision Warning, Driver Attention Monitor, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition System, Traffic Jam Assist, Blind Spot Information System, and Cross Traffic Monitor. The EX-L model adds front and rear parking sensors.

Additionally, all models come standard with auto high-beam headlights and a rear seat reminder. The EX-L model includes low-speed braking control.
