Performance

The 2026 Prelude is powered by a hybrid driveline that includes a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. This system is rated for 200 combined horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque. This is driven through the electric traction motor and a lock-up clutch through drive force transfer. This enables the drive system to smoothly deliver predictable acceleration between the two power sources.

In addition, the Honda S+ Shift simulates the performance transmission experience by engaging driver input through Linear Shift Control. Using the paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, simulated quick shifts are achieved through precision rev-matching. You can hear the downshift blips, too! You can also dial in the driving experience through four Dynamic Drive Modes – Comfort, GT, Sport, and Individual.

As sporty as it all sounds, it is also highly efficient. The 2026 Prelude achieves 46 City/41 highway/44 combined mpg.*

The 2026 Prelude rides on a four-wheel independent suspension that is derived from the Civic Type R, featuring a dual-axis sport strut setup up front and a multilink setup in the rear. Adaptive dampers add to the excitement of the 2026 Prelude’s driving experience. A variable-ratio electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system is also equipped, along with Brembo™ four-piston aluminum front calipers, which are shared with the Civic Type R. The calipers are finished in a unique Prelude Blue color.

Exterior

The 2026 Prelude’s sports coupe body is sleek and aerodynamic, cutting through the wind. Two wide-opening doors give access to the 2+2 cabin inside. It gives off the impression of going fast while standing still. The low silhouette invites enthusiasts looking for a true sports coupe for maximum driving enjoyment.

The front end is complemented by a pair of LED lighting units with some blue hybrid accents. The rear taillight unit is a horizontal bar that serves as the finishing touch, distinguishing it from anything on the road.

All 2026 Prelude models feature 19-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels and 235/40R19 all-season tires.

A two-tone upgrade is available, adding a black roof and side mirror covers.

Interior

The cabin inside the 2026 Prelude is driver-centric and focused. That starts with a D-shaped steering wheel with a flat bottom and a pair of driver-focused front seats. The premium interior is designed to get you.

For the driver, the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster offers large dials and easy-to-access information on the center screen. All controls are tactile and accessible to the driver.

The 2026 Prelude models are equipped with a Dual-Zone automatic climate control system. The system also includes humidity control and air filtration.

Technology

On top of the center stack is a nine-inch color touchscreen. This serves as a hub for all connectivity, broadcast playback, and navigation. It integrates Google Built-in, which lets you access apps – including Google Maps – without connecting to a smartphone. You can also add apps from the Google Play Store from the screen.

There is also wireless smartphone compatibility through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with wireless device charging.

Also, every 2026 Prelude model is equipped with a multi-angle rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. This appears on the touchscreen to help guide you in backing up your vehicle.
