Performance

The 2026 Passport is powered by a strong 285-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that also puts down 262 pound-feet. It sends power to a second-generation torque vectoring i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system, which is standard on all 2026 Passport models.  A 10-speed automatic transmission is also standard for these models.  Intelligent Drive Modes help enhance traction through the i-VTM4 system. In particular, Snow, Tow, Trail, and Sand modes are used to handle those conditions.

The 2026 Passport is also efficient. RTL models can also achieve 19 City/25 highway/21 combined mpg, while TrailSport models are rated at 18 City/23 highway/20 combined mpg.** You will go a long way with the standard 18.5-gallon fuel tank.   

The 2026 Passport features a four-wheel independent suspension, with a McPherson Strut setup in the front and a multilink setup in the rear. This delivers a smooth ride for you and your adventures. TrailSport models add an Off-Road Suspension with several enhancements to manage surfaces beyond the highway. An Electric Power-Assisted Rack-and-Pinion Steering system is also equipped with four-disc brakes and a standard anti-lock braking system.

Exterior

Rugged, yet handsome – those are the two words that describe the 2026 Passport. While upright, it sports a friendly design with four wide-opening doors and a face that means business on and off the road. Front and rear LED lighting is standard on all trim levels. Additionally, the tailgate opens wide and extends to the bumper for improved loading and unloading of camping gear or luggage. All models add a power-operated tailgate that can be adjusted for height. The TrailSport Elite model features a walk-away function that automatically closes the doors and tailgate, while also offering a hands-free option to open the tailgate.

All 2026 Passport models ride on a set of 18-inch alloy wheels. Each trim has its own design and finish. Each trim offers a Blackout Package that wears darker finishes on the badging and the wheels.

Interior

Stepping inside the 2026 Passport’s cabin, you are greeted with a cockpit that fits every adventure. The driver gets a 10.2-inch Digital Instrument Cluster. All controls are tactile and accessible to the driver.

Seating accommodates five people in a spacious passenger area. You have plenty of room to stretch out. All models feature a 10-way power driver’s seat adjustment, and both front-row occupants also have heated seats. The rear seatbacks on all models can be folded down in a 60/40 split, with a recline function for a more relaxed ride. TrailSport models are upgraded to leatherette upholstery, while TrailSport Elite models wear perforated leather seats.

All 2026 Passport models get a Tri-Zone Automatic Climate Control system made for individual comfort.  TrailSport Elite adds ventilated seats up front and rear outboard heated seats for year-round comfort.

The 2026 Passport offers up to 44.0 cubic feet of space behind the second row of seats for loading cargo. Fold both the second-row seats down, and cargo space expands to a maximum of 104.6 cubic feet. This accounts for the largest cargo area available in its size class.

Technology

On top of the center stack is a 12.3-inch color touchscreen. This serves as a hub for all connectivity, broadcast playback, and navigation. Wireless smartphone compatibility is standard on all models. RTL and TrailSport models offer nine speakers of sound, while the TrailSport Elite receives a 12-speaker Bose Premium Sound System that lets you enjoy the music as you drive away to your next destination. New for the 2026 Passport is Google Built-in. This enables you to utilize your Google profile for custom navigation, playing your favorite tunes, and adding more apps without needing to tether your smartphone.

Also, every 2026 Passport model is equipped with a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. TrailSport Elite models add a Multi-View Camera System with a TrailView feature. This appears on the touchscreen to help guide you.

Safety

Standard on all 2026 Passport models is a suite of features that are a part of Honda Sensing Technologies. These features include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control with a Low-Speed function, Lane Keeping Assist System, Forward Collision Warning, Driver Attention Monitor, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition System, Blind Spot Information System, and Cross Traffic Monitor. Front and rear parking sensors are also standard on all models.

Additionally, all models come standard with auto high-beam headlights, a rear seat reminder, and low-speed braking control.
