2026 Honda Prologue

Performance

The Prologue is available with a single 220-horsepower motor mounted up front with FWD. The front- and rear-motor AWD drivetrain, with a total system output of 300 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of instantly available torque, is available on the EX and Touring and is standard on the Elite. All models are equipped with an 85.0 kWh battery, which provides a range of 308 miles on FWD models and 294 miles with AWD, or 283 miles for the larger-wheeled Elite model**. EPA efficiency ranges from 87 to 94 MPGe. 

The Prologue is tuned for a smooth ride and confident handling. Regenerative braking can be adjusted using the steering wheel paddle shifters, up to the point of enabling one-pedal driving if preferred. 

Exterior

Everything about the Prologue’s exterior communicates “smooth,” from the traditional Honda low front fascia to the subtly curved side surfaces to the gently sloping rear window. Below that window, in a small break with tradition, “Honda” is spelled out instead of the usual logo badge. The proportions are long, low, and wide, while the detailing is free of styling gimmicks, for a look that should age quite well.

Interior

The Prologue follows the Honda design language, starting with a low beltline and good visibility. The dash features a horizontal theme, a high-mounted 11.3-inch center touchscreen, climate vents nestled in horizontal trim, and useful physical knobs and buttons for climate and other systems. Behind a handsome tri-spoke steering wheel is a standard 11-inch digital instrument cluster. The column-mounted shifter provides the center console with plenty of space for cup holders, storage areas, and a standard smartphone charging pad. 

Rear passengers are treated to a spacious area with a flat floor, 39.4 inches of legroom, and 57.6 inches of shoulder room. Behind the seats is 25.2 cubic feet (23.7 with AWD) of well-appointed cargo space, which expands to 57.7 cubic feet when the rear seatbacks are lowered.  

Technology

The 11.3-inch screen is powered by the Google Built-in operating system, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, standard Google Maps, and the Google Assistant voice-command system. Other standard features include Wi-Fi hotspot capability, wireless phone charging, and HondaLink through the OnStar system.   

The Touring models add the convenience of front and rear parking sensors, and the range-topping Elite model adds a 360-degree camera system and a head-up display.

Safety

The Prologue earned an Overall 5-Star Rating from the NHTSA. The Honda Sensing array of safety and driver-assist features is standard on all models. Overall, safety features include:
