2026 Honda Accord

Performance

The 2026 Accord is powered by a 192-horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It is also rated for 192 pound-feet of torque. This is driven through a continuously variable transmission, sending power to the front wheels.          

It is designed to be highly efficient. The 2026 Accord LX achieves 29 City/37 highway/32 combined mpg*, while the SE model earns 28 City/36 highway/31 combined mpg*. 

The 2026 Accord rides on a four-wheel independent suspension, featuring McPherson struts in the front and a multilink setup in the rear. A dual-pinion assist electric power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system is also equipped, along with four-wheel anti-lock brakes.

Exterior

The distinctive 2026 Accord is sleek and aerodynamic, cutting through the wind. Four wide-opening doors invite up to five passengers inside. The front end is complemented by a pair of LED lighting units flanking a functional grille. The rear LED taillight unit adds a horizontal element that serves as the finishing touch, distinguishing itself from anything on the road. The roofline is almost coupe-like but is also deceptively accommodating. You’ll see when you step inside. 

For the finishing touch, the 2026 Accord LX rides on a set of 17-inch blade silver alloy wheels, while the SE model sports 19-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels. Also, the SE model adds gloss-black mirror caps that house heated side mirrors and a power moonroof.  

Interior

The cabin in the 2026 Accord is inviting and centered on the driver. A 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster offers large dials and easy-to-access information on the center screen. All controls are tactile and accessible to the driver from the steering wheel to the center console.  

Seating is accommodating inside its large cabin. Up to five passengers can enjoy a comfortable and refined ride, no matter the destination. All models wear cloth upholstery, while the SE model treats you to heated seats with power adjustments.  

The trunk opens wide to a large 16.7 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats. The LX model has a fold-down rear seatback, whereas the SE offers a 60/40 split – both are designed for longer items to carry with you. In addition, the SE adds a self-opening trunk, making loading much easier.  

Standard on the 2026 Accord LX is an air conditioning system. The SE model is upgraded to a Dual-Zone automatic climate control system. The system also includes humidity control and air filtration.

Technology

On top of the center stack is a nine-inch color touchscreen. This serves as a hub for all connectivity, broadcast playback, and navigation. It integrates with wireless smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless device charging. There are plenty of USB-C ports for both front- and rear-seat passengers to connect or charge their devices.  

LX models offer four speakers of sound throughout the cabin. SE models are upgraded to an eight-speaker, 180-watt audio system.  

Also, every 2026 Accord model is equipped with a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines. This appears on the touchscreen to help guide you in backing up your vehicle.

Safety

Standard on all 2026 Accord models is a suite of features that are a part of Honda Sensing Technologies. Depending on the trim level you choose, these features include Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, Forward Collision Warning, Driver Attention Monitor, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition System, and Traffic Jam Assist. Blind Spot Information System and Rear Cross Traffic Monitor are added to the SE model.
