Compare the Honda Civic to the Toyota Corolla & Ford Focus at Michael Hohl Honda - Serving Reno

The Honda Civic is more than just a compact sedan with great style, technology, performance and safety in mind. It represents some of the best value in its segment, with a low base MSRP and a wide array of standard features. While we try to avoid choosing favorites here at our Carson City Honda dealership, it's difficult not to love the Civic for its standout persona.

Honda Civic vs. the Toyota Corolla

It's hard not to compare the Honda and Toyota options on the grounds of style, but we've always found the Civic to be far superior in refinement and value. With higher gas mileage on both city and highway and better standard features, the front runner between these two compact sedans is clear:

  • Civic comes standard with rear view camera, which isn't available on the Corolla.
  • Superior head, hip, and shoulder room available on the Civic.
  • Higher combined fuel economy rating than the Corolla.

Honda Civic vs. Ford Focus

While the Ford Focus and the Honda Civic have been going head to head for quite a long time now, even the competitor's recent redesign can't match the performance, fuel economy, and style of Honda's compact sedan. Here are a few reasons why the Civic beats out even the latest Ford option:

  • 3 mpg higher combined fuel economy rating over the Focus.
  • Superior front and second row headroom, and overall passenger volume.
  • Remote trunk/tailgate release available on Civic, not available at all on Focus.
