Adaptive cruise control draws on the Ridgeline’s sensor array to monitor your vehicle’s position relative to surrounding traffic. This enables the Ridgeline to slow down or speed up to maintain a particular distance between itself and the vehicle ahead of it. The Ridgeline will also keep itself correctly positioned in a lane, sounding warnings should it begin to drift out of the lane.
Automatic emergency braking helps to avoid the worst effects of a collision by safely and quickly slowing the vehicle in an attempt to avoid an impact. This action will also help to reduce the force of an impact, should a collision become unavoidable.
